Hi Brenda, I just got home from taking the dog for a walk. It's beautiful and sunny, but a bit cool (needed a light jacket). In American degress, probably around 50. But it was great to get out. Some of the neighbours are out fixing up their gardens, but that's not my "thing." I have the gardener do it. (bad back and all) That's all for now, folks. :D
I'm with you on the garden stuff! That's not my thing either! That's why I live in a Condo - so I don't have to mess with that. But my sisters both have beautiful gardens - and do amazing things with their yards - and are really into that. I would like their yards - just wouldn't want to do the work. : )
Glad your weather is nice enough for walking. Sounds nice. We are cooler in the mornings and evenings - and I've been wearing light jackets or little sweaters - because then we are in AC at work - so that works well. And - it's the only time of year we can wear our sweaters. : )
Well ... I'm watching 'Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader?' ... which is pretty funny. I'll be posting some stuff soon - on my 'Name Dropping' Blog - about my brother-in-law being on Scrubs (end of April) - and my Niece is working on a script that will be part of a holiday series on ABC - and her piece will be the first one that runs in the series. That runs in November. Will post more info later ... but it is pretty cool stuff. : ) And - I'm starting to get hooked on 'Identity' - after meeting Penn ... and as that show starts to grow on me. My youngest sister and I think we could win - but, of course, we are not allowed to play (because we are 'family'). :0 Oh well! I still enjoy watching it.
I have been on an internet forum for hikers on the Appalacian Trail and thought about our conversations re: "our neck of the woods" and getting on the Trail.
Does your friend still have the cabin in Bryson City???
I was in central Florida recently in a motor home with my Sis and Mom and thought about you. We just did not get close enough to you to contact you.
My mom has had such a turn around with her health, we are traveling with her as much as possible.
May be taking a cross country trip really soon, while she is viable.

I'm not sure if my friend still has the Bryson City place. He had two places that he was renting out - then he got this really great place (not sure where exactly - but in N.C.) - and it is just incredible! He just put in an audio studio also - so that he could work from up there also. He was to be there this past week - so I haven't had a chance to check to see if he still has the Bryson place. I'll check though.
What forum are you on? I'd love to check that out too - if you don't mind. And I still want to do the hiking stuff. I'm going through some things at work right now though - and I'm trying to get myself in a position so that I'm prepared - in case the company that I work for shuts down our department. We were initially given a year (until Jan 2008) - to make more of a profit - but now we are hearing it might be this June instead. So - I just am scrambling to get things in order - and checking out other opportunities. So - haven't been able to think about trips ... or much of anything else at the moment.
Hope all is going well with you. The travel in the RV sounds great! Glad that you are able to spend some time with your Mom too. Very cool.
